Job Description
Insight M is seeking individuals interested in working at the intersection of aerospace systems and data science to develop innovative solutions for monitoring global environmental issues, particularly methane emissions, through hardware and software integration in a flexible, collaborative, and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain aerospace sensors at a continental scale to collect data on global environmental issues.
- Analyze and process data streams to identify and monitor methane emissions.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and improve hardware and software systems for data collection and analysis.
Requirements
- Ability to operate hardware and software related to aerospace systems and data science.
- Experience in working with sensors and producing data streams at a continental scale.
- Experience in monitoring and analyzing emissions, specifically methane emissions.
- Ability to contribute to continuous survey operations and data collection since 2018.
- Strong understanding of environmental impact metrics such as CO2e reduction, vehicle emissions, and power plant shutdowns.
- Willingness to work in a collaborative, diverse, and supportive team environment.
- Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule approximating a 40-hour workweek, with occasional extra hours during crunch periods.
- Ability to work remotely and independently, with effective communication skills for remote collaboration.
- Willingness to participate in a workplace that values integrity, diversity, and inclusion, without discrimination based on protected characteristics.
- Ability to handle physical demands related to hardware and software work, as required by aerospace and data science roles.
