Job Description
A Design and Test Engineer role focused on developing and testing ultra-high temperature electric heaters for industrial decarbonization, involving design, prototyping, testing, and collaboration with suppliers in a climate tech startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and test ultra-high temperature electric heaters for industrial decarbonization
- Perform design tasks and create technical drawings
- Plan, construct, and execute tests with prototypes
- Develop products from concept to serial manufacturing
- Collaborate with suppliers and identify new ones
- Document test results and ensure thorough testing procedures
- Introduce innovative ideas to improve development processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- A strong technical understanding of function, manufacturability, and assembly.
- CAD experience, e.g., Inventor or similar software.
- Full proficiency in German to communicate with suppliers.
- Excellent written and spoken English to communicate with the team, customers, and suppliers.
- Work experience, especially in high-temperature and ceramics design, testing, and manufacturing (preferred but not explicitly mandatory).
- Self-driven and independent work attitude.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present technical information.
- Availability to work a hybrid role requiring at least 3 days per week on-site in Offenburg, Germany.
- Must have a valid work visa for the EU, as the company does not offer visa sponsorship.
