Job Description

A Business Analyst focusing on Market and Strategy at HyperHeat, responsible for analyzing markets, customer needs, and technical-economic data to develop business cases, support sales and partnerships, and shape company strategy in the industrial electric heating sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive market and customer analysis to identify patterns and insights
  • Prepare decision-ready analyses and materials for discussions with founders and customers
  • Own market and application deep dives for target segments and refine customer personas
  • Build customer-specific business cases and develop sales and investor materials
  • Act as a first point of contact for inbound and outbound customer conversations
  • Contribute to market prioritization, pricing strategies, and go-to-market planning
  • Lead cross-functional projects such as application selection, partnership screening, and market entry hypotheses
  • Anticipate customer questions and objections, providing data-backed responses
  • Support sales, partnerships, or fundraising processes with analysis and narratives

Requirements

  • Proven experience building robust business cases, financial models, or techno-economic analyses that stand up to scrutiny beyond the spreadsheet.
  • Strong analytical foundation and the ability to translate complex technical and economic topics into clear, decision-ready insights.
  • Proven comfort operating in ambiguity, structuring open questions independently, and moving topics forward without waiting for detailed instructions.
  • High level of ownership and reliability, with a track record of taking responsibility for outcomes rather than tasks.
  • Clear, concise communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and German, tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience analyzing existing customer conversations, pilots, and proposals to extract patterns and insights.
  • Ability to independently prepare decision-ready analyses and materials for founder and customer discussions.
  • Ability to analyze market and customer data, shape customer personas, and act as a first point of contact for inbound and outbound customer conversations.
  • Experience building customer-specific business cases that stand up in front of industrial decision makers.
  • Experience creating sales and investor materials that clearly communicate economic and strategic value.
  • Ability to work with the Techno Economic Analysis (TEA) model and underlying assumptions to turn complex technical and financial inputs into clear business cases and narratives.
  • Experience supporting sales, partnerships, or fundraising processes (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Background in consulting, venture, energy, industrial tech, or deep-tech startups (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Prior exposure to heavy industry, energy markets, or industrial economics (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Legal right to work in the EU; visa sponsorships or relocation support are not offered.
