Job Description

This internship or working student position involves developing and evaluating simulation models using FEM and CFD tools to support the design of electric high-temperature heaters that replace fossil fuel burners in industrial processes, contributing to climate action and sustainable industry transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop simplified thermal and mechanical simulation models based on engineering concepts.
  • Support concept development through simulation and analysis.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to define boundary and initial conditions for simulations.
  • Create simulation models using appropriate physics and simplifications.
  • Evaluate and interpret simulation results, presenting findings clearly to the team.
  • Iterate and refine simulation models based on feedback to meet requirements.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Available to work as a working student or intern, either full-time or part-time.
  • Prior experience with CFD and/or FEM simulation models, preferably in Ansys Mechanical Fluent.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple small projects simultaneously.
