Job Description
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Key Responsibilities
- As a Data Center Technician, you will work with state-of-the-art computing and networking equipment to ensure optimal uptime and provide regular basic repair services. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn about our network technologies and will demonstrate the ability to adapt to evolving systems. You should also be able to stay current with emerging technologies. An analytical mindset is essential for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with mining equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and minimizing turnaround times.
- The Data Center Technician will perform routine maintenance under general supervision. This position ensures that the facility remains available for use and is consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition. The role involves operating various maintenance and mining tools and equipment, as well as performing other related tasks as directed by the Associate Manager and/or Manager of Data Center Operations.
- Some of the key responsibilities you should expect are the following:
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3+ years of experience in IT/computer hardware, systems/electrical engineering, network administration, and/or troubleshooting.
- Bitcoin mining experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- A basic understanding of IP addressing, subnets, and small electronics or medium to low- voltage electrical systems is a plus.
- Flexibility to adapt to various tasks and environments.
- Physical stamina: the ability to stand for 7+ hours per day.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Tolerance for harsh environmental conditions, including both indoor and outdoor settings.
- Must pass a motor vehicle check.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the designated work site.
- Ability to work as a member of a fast-paced, collaborative, and high-performing team is paramount to this role – your success in this role will not just come from how hard you work as an individual, but how strong of a team you help create across the facility.
