Job Description
A senior radar systems engineer responsible for designing, integrating, and testing radar systems from HF to 200 GHz, working closely with scientists and engineers to develop system specifications, analyze radar data, and contribute to research, development, and customer solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, integrate, and test radar systems operating from HF to 200 GHz.
- Develop specifications and architectures for radar system components from aperture to backend processing.
- Solve customer problems related to radar systems.
- Analyze radar data and perform system testing and operation.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers on radar system development and testing.
- Prepare technical presentations, reports, and publications related to radar systems.
Requirements
- Strong expertise with radar systems with an emphasis on the radar frontend and backend, phased array radar systems, digital signal processing, and radar algorithms.
- Ten (10) years of experience with radars including operation, testing, and analyzing radar data.
- Proficiency in using MATLAB for developing radar waveforms and analyzing data collected by radar systems.
- Ability to program algorithms in C, MATLAB, or an equivalent programming language.
- Required education: BS, MS, or Ph.D. with experience in Radar Systems Engineering.
- Must be willing to travel and work in a team of highly skilled engineers on complex projects, and willing to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain US Government security clearance.
- Must be able to interact professionally with program managers, co-workers, and customers, perform detailed analyses of radar systems and components, and prepare written and oral presentations.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
