Job Description
The role serves as a liaison between the Information Systems department and other business units, ensuring IT services and solutions align with business needs through relationship management, project coordination, and strategic collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with business unit leaders to understand goals and technology needs
- Collaborate with business leaders, stakeholders, and IT to align initiatives with corporate strategy
- Assess business requirements and develop strategies to meet business objectives
- Define and document objectives for joint strategic efforts with business units and project management
- Identify, manage, and coordinate risks, issues, and opportunities related to IT projects and requirements
- Prioritize and support business-critical Information Systems needs
- Develop deep domain knowledge of organizational functions and requirements
- Manage, prioritize, and coordinate business requirements with stakeholders
- Facilitate status updates on enterprise-wide policy changes and resource availability
- Advocate for change and ensure alignment between business units and project teams
- Manage projects, schedules, and provide progress updates
- Collaborate with IT leadership to develop departmental communication strategies
- Support cross-functional collaboration and organizational transparency
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years in a business partner, project management, or customer facing IT role
- Strong communication skills
- Strong proficiency in MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel
- Strong understanding of IT, HR, and Finance
- Strong writing, speaking, and presentation skills
- Strong project management skills
- Leadership skills
- Ability to collaborate and encourage collaboration
- Strategic thinking
- Ability to facilitate both business and IT requirements
- Ability to manage tasks, schedules, and timelines
- High school diploma or GED with 7 years of related experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 5 years of related experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Occasionally required to stand, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl while performing duties
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- This is an on-site position requiring working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little to no advance notice
