Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain the foundational infrastructure for Gridmatic's platform.
Develop systems to support real-time execution of battery dispatch commands.
Implement continuous training and deployment pipelines for machine learning models.
Handle large-scale data ingestion from weather, prices, load, and grid conditions.
Ensure reliability and performance of platform components to support energy forecasting and trading decisions.
Requirements
Experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on building foundational infrastructure for a platform, preferably in the energy or related industry.
Proficiency in developing reliable real-time systems, particularly for executing battery dispatch commands in energy markets.
Experience with continuous training and deployment of machine learning models as new data arrives.
Ability to work on problems involving large-scale data ingestion, including weather, prices, load, and grid conditions.
Strong understanding of probabilistic machine learning forecasts and their application in operational decision-making.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain systems that operate on tight schedules, ensuring high reliability and performance.
Experience working in a high-growth startup environment or similar fast-paced setting.
