Job Description
This role involves providing technical pre-sales support and account management for energy storage systems (ESS), collaborating with sales, R&D, and product teams to ensure successful project design, customer satisfaction, and product development in the renewable energy and electric vehicle sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre-sales technical support for customer account engagements, including documentation development and training.
- Manage pre- and post-sales technical account activities to ensure successful ESS solution adoption and business growth.
- Support utility-scale and commercial projects with customized design solutions to secure design wins and reduce costs.
- Gather and communicate customer feedback and field test results to R&D and Product Management for product improvements.
- Lead development of technical documentation such as specifications, manuals, safety certifications, and proposals.
- Coordinate field testing and feedback collection for new hardware and software products.
- Collaborate with Customer Support to address technical issues and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Engage with customers and partners on ESS system applications, including system evaluation and teaming with equipment providers and integrators.
- Work with sales teams to prioritize opportunities and deliver technical support to enable project success.
- Coordinate with R&D and design teams to prepare ESS products for market and support business wins.
- Partner with Product Management to develop technical tools and training, driving adoption across sales and partners.
- Act as a sales focal point for technical feedback and solutions related to product development.
- Manage the technical pipeline to ensure qualified projects receive appropriate pre-sales support.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Mechanical Engineering (BSME), or a Master of Science (MS) degree is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in ESS engineering design, technical pre-sales support, and project management.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical subject matter with external partners and customers.
- Strong networking and communication expertise.
- Ability and willingness to travel locally, domestically, and at times internationally.
