Job Description
The Senior System Engineer at Gotion Inc. is responsible for designing and developing battery pack modules and management systems, leading the battery design team to meet customer requirements, and coordinating development and validation activities for next-generation electric vehicle batteries.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and release battery pack module systems to meet customer requirements
- Lead the battery design team in developing battery systems and manage design reviews at project milestones
- Define and release battery management system (BMS) performance and functions
- Collaborate with the cell team to recommend cell proposals and build performance and life models
- Build cell performance models to predict voltage and thermal performance under various drive profiles
- Plan and validate battery system development and testing requirements
- Communicate with customers to understand system requirements and explain design proposals
Requirements
- Design, develop, and release battery pack Module system performance and requirements.
- Lead the battery design team to develop a battery system that meets customer requirements.
- Define and release Battery Management System (BMS) performance and function as a part of the battery system engineer's responsibilities, and communicate these to the BMS team as design input.
- Organize battery Module design review meetings at every project milestone.
- Work with the battery cell team to build up battery performance models and life models, and predict battery performance through pack lifetime.
- Communicate with customers to understand and transfer battery system requirements.
- Cooperate with the cell team to recommend cell proposals for specific battery systems.
- Organize the battery system development team to develop battery module design proposals.
- Build cell performance models using cell test data and predict cell voltage and thermal performance under different drive profiles provided by customers.
- Plan battery system development validation requirements and testing activities.
- Explain battery system design proposals and plans to customers.
- Support product project matched pairs for reporting activities.
- Possess relevant experience in battery system design, development, or testing (implied by responsibilities, though not explicitly quantified).
