• Lead the Pack mProduction Quality Engineering team, inspectors, and quality technicians across manufacturing lines. Build and manager internal quality KPIs.
• Develop and execute plant‑level quality strategies to reduce risk, improve stability, and ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.
• Serve as the primary quality escalation contact for production and customer-facing issues.
• Oversee collection and analysis of quality metrics including defect rates, return rates, and process capability indices (CPK, PPK, CMK).Support and review internal control plans: PFMEA and inspection standards.
• Identify trends, systemic risks, and improvement opportunities; ensure preventative actions are implemented effectively.
• Direct and validate root cause analysis (RCA) for quality issues; lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Drive Kaizen, DOE, SPC improvements, and Lean-based quality enhancements across production processes.
• Manage the non-conforming product process, including segregation, material review, disposition, and ledger accuracy.
• Supervise rework operations, ensuring proper documentation, execution, and verification testing.
• Strengthen systems to minimize recurrence and cost impact.
• Ensure proper implementation of control plans, inspection standards, and corrective action systems across the production floor.
• Conduct layered audits and oversee inspectors’ effectiveness and performance.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and all internal quality standards.
• Train and mentor operators, engineers, and inspectors on quality standards, processes, and tools.
• Work closely with production, engineering, equipment, and customer teams to resolve issues and drive alignment.
• Support external customer audits, manage customer complaints, and provide timely and professional responses during escalations.
• Ensure accurate documentation of all quality activities, including process quality reports, audit summaries, RCA documentation, and CAPA tracking.
• Promote adoption of industry best practices, lessons learned, and support plant‑wide quality system optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 7+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; battery or automotive industry strongly preferred.
• 2–3+ years of leadership experience managing engineers, quality teams, or major quality programs.
• Deep knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and core quality tools (SPC, FMEA, 8D, 5Why, Fishbone, DOE, MSA, etc.).
• Experience with Kaizen, CAPA methodologies, and statistical problem-solving.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems/software.
• Excellent communication, conflict‑resolution, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, handle customer complaints under pressure, and drive decisive action.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $145,000.00 - $170,000.00 + 20% bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
