Job Description
The role involves leading industrial design projects for domestic appliances, focusing on user-centered, innovative, and visually compelling solutions through research, prototyping, and collaboration within a product development team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead industrial design projects independently, managing budget and time constraints
- Conduct user-centered design processes including analysis, exploration, storytelling, prototyping, testing, and implementation
- Translate customer needs, research findings, and business requirements into effective design solutions
- Research current trends in fashion, art, design, and digital products to inform design development
- Create visual design artifacts such as sketches, models, and prototypes to communicate and validate concepts
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in product or industrial design
- 5-8 years relevant experience in one or more specific business domains and in one or more markets and cultures, with focus on industrial design for domestic appliances or consumer electronics
- Technical experience from the realization phase of product development
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills to gather relevant user insights, conduct competitor studies, and create meaningful and innovative solutions
- Strong design skills, including hand sketching, digital sketching, CAD modeling with Rhino or SolidWorks, and prototyping
- Strong CMF (Color, Material, Finish) and graphic creation and visualization skills
- Ability to create appealing visuals that bring design solutions to life
- Professional, ambitious, and collaborative mindset
- Ability to ensure all deadlines are met on time with impeccable deliverables
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Mandarin language skills are a plus
Benefits & Perks
US base salary range: $90,000.00 - $128,000.00
