Job Description

The Senior Director, Sales Marketing at Gotion Inc. is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and building a scalable commercial organization in the U.S. energy storage, EV, and battery sectors, by leading regional sales and marketing teams and aligning strategies with global objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver regional revenue targets and market share growth in energy storage, EV, and industrial energy solutions.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans with OEMs, utilities, EPCs, and integrators.
  • Identify and capture new market opportunities in ESS, EV, and energy transition sectors.
  • Build long-term customer partnerships and ecosystem influence.
  • Lead, scale, and manage the regional sales and marketing teams with clear performance metrics and accountability.
  • Define and implement integrated go-to-market strategies, including brand positioning and customer segmentation.
  • Build and institutionalize sales operations, forecasting, pipeline reviews, and CRM discipline.
  • Optimize pricing strategies, contract structures, and commercial governance.
  • Align U.S. commercial activities with global product roadmaps and supply chain capabilities.
  • Drive cross-cultural collaboration between U.S. teams and global headquarters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required; MBA is preferred.
  • 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in Sales, Marketing, or Commercial Leadership.
  • Proven track record of delivering revenue growth in a business scale of $300 million to $500 million.
  • Strong experience in B2B technical industrial sales environments.
  • Demonstrated capability in sales operations, forecasting, and pipeline management.
  • Experience operating in high-growth, fast-changing environments.
  • Strong leadership, executive communication, and stakeholder alignment skills.
  • Direct experience in New Energy, Energy Storage, EV, Battery, or Power Systems industries.
  • Experience in or exposure to companies such as Tesla, Rivian, Fluence, AESC, Sungrow Power Supply, Trina Solar, or JinkoSolar is preferred.
  • Mandarin Chinese proficiency or proven experience working with Chinese or Asian multinational organizations is preferred.
  • Experience supporting U.S. market entry or rapid expansion phases is preferred.
