Job Description
The Program Manager at Gotion Inc. is responsible for leading and managing electric vehicle and energy storage system programs from initiation to post-production, ensuring customer satisfaction, meeting project objectives, and coordinating cross-functional teams in a global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire program lifecycle from RFI/RFQ to 6 months post-production, ensuring customer satisfaction and achievement of timing, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, negotiate terms, and serve as the official Gotion representative.
- Prepare and submit RFQs, build and monitor the Business Plan, define investment schemes, and manage program investments in compliance with controlling procedures.
- Track program progress through Business Plans, Dashboards, and Budget Reports; conduct reviews and develop action plans for risks and opportunities.
- Resolve conflicts with customers on financial and technical issues.
- Staff, manage, and coordinate cross-functional teams including Sales, Controlling, Purchasing, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Design, and Engineering.
- Ensure adherence to Gotion’s Program Management System (PMS), organize communication, and facilitate smooth transfer from Development to Production.
- Organize key program information for continuity and knowledge management.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and Mandarin.
- Master's degree, ideally in engineering or program management.
- Minimum of 4-7 years of job experience in vehicle assembly plant, vehicle product development center, Tier 1 supplier, energy storage system solution providers, or similar industrial environment, with product experience considered a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of project experience.
- Results orientation.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Conflict management skills with the ability to prevent and solve conflicts.
- Ability to work in a matrixed organization.
- Good knowledge of project management processes.
- Good knowledge of program standards, tools, and methods.
- Ability to establish, develop, lead, and unite a team.
- Strong financial knowledge, including building and following a Business Plan.
- Proficiency in problem-solving techniques.
- Strategic and analytic capabilities.
- Planning and organizing abilities.
- Willingness to do overseas traveling.
- Ability to develop and manage customer relationships and negotiate effectively.
- Experience in preparing and submitting RFQ to management.
- Experience in liaising with program controllers, building business plans, defining program investment schemes, and managing investments in compliance with controlling procedures.
- Experience in launching and monitoring program progress through updating business plans, dashboards, and budget reports.
- Experience conducting risk and opportunity analysis and developing action plans.
- Experience arbitrating conflicts with customers on financial and technical issues.
- Experience staffing, managing, and coordinating cross-functional teams including sales, controlling, purchasing, quality, production, supply chain, design, and product/process engineering.
- Ability to create a program management culture by ensuring process adherence and developing synergies among team members.
- Experience organizing communication throughout the program lifecycle.
- Experience ensuring smooth transfer of programs from development centers to production plants.
- Ability to organize key program information to ensure program continuity and contribute to knowledge management.
- Willingness to abide by the contents of the Gotion Code of Conduct.
- Physical ability and willingness to travel overseas.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $100,000 - $200,000 USD
