Job Description
A Production Quality Engineer at Gotion Inc. is responsible for ensuring high-quality manufacturing processes by analyzing quality data, implementing control plans, conducting root cause analyses, managing non-conforming products, and driving continuous improvement to meet company and customer standards in the battery industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze production and quality data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis of quality problems and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Manage non-conforming products, including determination, documentation, and rework processes.
- Ensure implementation of control plans, including inspection standards, frequency, and corrective actions.
- Train operators on quality processes and standards in production.
- Inspect production processes regularly to identify risks and recommend improvements.
- Supervise inspectors and conduct hierarchical audits based on control plans.
- Develop and maintain standard inspection guidelines.
- Maintain records of quality activities, reports, audits, and corrective measures.
- Promote factory quality systems, process optimization, and adherence to industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- US Citizenship or a Green Card
- At least 3 years of experience in quality engineering in the manufacturing industry, with priority given to those with experience in battery or automotive battery industry
- Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Familiarity with quality management systems ISO 9001, IATF 16949, etc.
- Mastered quality tools and methods such as SPC, FMEA, 8D, 5Why, Fishbone, etc.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office software, with familiarity in quality management software preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and as a team member
