Job Description
The process engineer will support lithium battery manufacturing by optimizing production processes, troubleshooting technical issues, implementing new equipment, and ensuring quality standards are met to improve capacity and yield in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in selecting process flow, equipment, and technical agreements for manufacturing.
- Manage engineering and technical issues during production trial runs and ramp-up phases.
- Compile and review process documentation, including flowcharts, standards, and work instructions.
- Solve on-site process problems and update quality issue lists to prevent recurrence.
- Evaluate, verify, and introduce new equipment and technologies into the production line.
- Develop and analyze process experiments, collect data, and generate reports.
- Conduct training on relevant knowledge and skills for production line employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in electrochemistry, physical materials, materials engineering, chemical engineering, or related fields.
- At least 2 years of process engineering work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in process improvement, troubleshooting, data analysis, process optimization, and quick problem-solving.
- Familiarity with the IATF 16949 quality system and process control methods, including proficiency in Control Plan, PFMEA, SPC, and familiarity with APQP, MSA, and PPAP.
- Knowledge of FTA and the seven QC tools, and familiarity with 8D and 6 Sigma management tools.
- Strong ability in data collection, organization, and analysis, with logical thinking and documentation skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills, team working ability, and resource search skills during production trial run and capacity ramp-up.
- Preferably knowledgeable about the principles of lithium-ion batteries and the cell manufacturing process.

US base salary range of $70,000 - $120,000
