Job Description
The Mechanical Equipment Technician at Gotion Inc. is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and integrate new equipment with existing systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic principles
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and extend lifespan
- Identify opportunities for equipment improvements and suggest modifications or upgrades
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures to operate equipment safely
Requirements
- Possess an Associate's degree or technical certification in mechanical, industrial, or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 1 year hands-on experience as an Equipment Technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing production environment.
- Mechanical aptitude, including a basic understanding of mechanical principles such as power transmission, bearings, gears, and hydraulics.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, troubleshoot circuits, and work safely with electrical systems including AC/DC, motors, and control systems.
- Basic understanding of pneumatic systems, including pneumatic components such as valves, cylinders, and actuators, and their operation.
- Excellent diagnostic and analytical problem-solving skills to identify and resolve equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly, both verbally and in writing, to colleagues and supervisors.
- Adherence to all safety regulations and company procedures to ensure equipment operates in a safe and compliant manner.
