Job Description
The role involves designing, reviewing, and managing mechanical components of high-voltage lithium battery packs for automotive applications, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure quality and compliance in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Define technical and regulatory requirements for high voltage (HV) battery pack mechanical components
- Design, review, and release mechanical components and modules of HV battery packs
- Collaborate with CAD designers to finalize CAD models and drawings
- Coordinate with external suppliers to ensure components meet requirements
- Lead communication with suppliers and internal teams through weekly teleconferences
- Work with systems engineers to perform DFMEA on mechanical systems
- Review DVP&R and validate mechanical design through testing and validation teams
- Conduct mechanical analysis and ensure design suitability for high-volume manufacturing environments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Lithium ion battery design.
- Design release experience in the automotive industry.
- Experience working with supply chain and quality engineering for supplier selection.
- Proven hands-on experience in mechanical analysis.
- Experience in high volume manufacturing environment, working with suppliers and manufacturing teams.

Compensation/salary range: $70,000 - $120,000 USD
