Job Description
A Mechanical Engineer specializing in battery systems responsible for designing, validating, and releasing high-voltage battery pack components and assemblies for electric vehicles, ensuring safety, performance, and manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and release mechanical components of the HV battery pack, including enclosures, mounting structures, and vehicle interfaces
- Create and manage 2D and 3D CAD drawings of battery pack assemblies and components
- Develop part and assembly models using Geometric Dimensioning Tolerancing (GD T)
- Conduct design validation through DFMEA and PFMEA to identify failure modes and improve designs
- Collaborate with CAE and testing teams to ensure performance targets are met
- Coordinate development, assembly, and delivery of prototype battery packs
- Work with supply chain and supplier quality teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality components
Requirements
- Master's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in HV battery design, automotive product design, or relevant industries.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software preferably CATIA V5 or V6.
- Experience in design for manufacturing and assembly (DFM, DFA), including processes like extrusion, stamping, and casting.
- Solid understanding of various materials and mechanical joining techniques.
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to execute contingency plans when needed.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills in verbal, written, and presentation English.
- Project management experience and ability to lead cross-functional efforts.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment and build consensus.

Salary range: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 annually
