Job Description
The position involves designing and reviewing high voltage battery systems for electric vehicles, including electrical schematics, component selection, and ensuring compliance with standards, with a focus on lithium-ion battery technology and collaboration with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design high voltage battery pack systems and electrical schematics
- Review and evaluate electrical components and BMS software requirements
- Communicate with battery suppliers and BMS team to review system requirements
- Identify battery system and test requirements
- Review and approve electrical component DFMEA and DVP R
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards and requirements for HV battery packs
- Support component PPAP submissions for electrical components
Requirements
- A Systems or Electrical Engineering degree is required.
- Must have high voltage over 200V battery design experience.
- Experience with supplier design review and helping the supplier to meet requirements and timeline is required.
- Experience in system requirement developments and defining a system level architect is required.
- Familiarity with Lithium ion battery technology is required.
- Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and data acquisition systems is required.
- Strong data-driven analytical problem solving skills are required.
- Must be a team player with self-motivation to identify and close design issues is required.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $70,000 - $130,000 USD
