Job Description
On-site role in a manufacturing environment with occasional off-shift support during equipment startup or issues.
Key Responsibilities
- This role supports installation, troubleshooting coordination, and ongoing maintenance of industrial electrical systems up to 480V in a manufacturing plant. The position focuses on understanding electrical drawings and overseeing contractor work, with occasional on-site verification and minor maintenance support after equipment handover.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams (up to 480V)
- Act as technical contact for electrical contractors and vendors
- Support equipment installation, startup, and acceptance
- Identify electrical issues and coordinate corrective actions
- Maintain documentation and update redlines
- Ensure work follows electrical safety standards and NEC basics
- Assist with maintenance planning after project handover
- Perform basic inspection, testing, or minor adjustments when needed
- Support reliability improvements and root cause discussions
- Coordinate work with production and EHS teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience with industrial electrical systems in a plant or manufacturing environment
- Ability to understand electrical schematics and power distribution diagrams
- Basic troubleshooting logic and communication skills
- Comfortable working on-site around equipment
- Electrician or electrical technician background
- Experience with MCCs, motors, or VFDs
- Equipment installation or commissioning exposure
- Electrical license
- 24/7 manufacturing environment experience
