Job Description
The Customer Audit Engineer at Gotion Inc. is responsible for leading customer and internal process audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards, managing audit findings and corrective actions, and collaborating across departments to improve quality systems in the electric vehicle and energy storage battery industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead preparation, execution, and follow-up of customer factory audits to ensure compliance with customer requirements
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather documents and data for customer audits
- Conduct risk identification and self-assessment prior to audits to address potential non-conformities
- Develop and track action plans to resolve audit findings and high-risk issues
- Maintain audit documentation and provide updates on audit progress and compliance risks to leadership
- Plan and execute internal process audits according to industry standards such as VDA 6.3 and IATF 16949
- Conduct process audits of production lines, record results, and perform root cause analysis on non-compliances
- Implement corrective and preventive measures, ensuring closed-loop resolution
- Organize and present audit performance data through visual reports and track continuous improvement efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Material Sciences
- At least 3 years of experience in customer quality management, with experience in the automotive, power battery, or energy storage battery industry preferred
- Deep understanding of VDA 6.3, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer audit requirements
- Experience leading internal and external audits, including risk assessment and compliance tracking
- Proficient in audit documentation, data collection, and reporting
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a focus on detail
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills, able to collaborate across departments
Benefits & Perks
Salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 plus eligibility for bonus and benefits
