Job Description
The Customer Audit Engineer at Gotion Inc. is responsible for leading customer and internal process audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement in quality management within the electric vehicle and energy storage battery industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead preparation, execution, and follow-up of customer factory audits to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather documents and data for customer audits.
- Conduct risk assessments and self-evaluations prior to customer audits to identify potential non-conformities.
- Develop and track action plans to address audit findings and resolve high-risk issues.
- Maintain audit documentation and provide updates on audit progress and compliance risks to leadership.
- Plan and conduct internal process audits according to industry standards such as VDA 6.3 and IATF 16949.
- Create audit checklists, perform process audits, and assess compliance with quality system requirements.
- Record audit results, generate reports, and perform root cause analysis on non-conformities.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions, ensuring closure of issues and continuous improvement.
- Organize and present audit performance data through visual reports and track improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Material Sciences
- At least 3 years of experience in customer quality management, with experience in the automotive, power battery, or energy storage battery industry preferred
- Deep understanding of VDA 6.3, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer audit requirements
- Experience leading internal and external audits, including risk assessment and compliance tracking
- Proficient in audit documentation, data collection, and reporting
- Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a focus on detail
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills, able to collaborate across departments
