Job Description
The Controls Engineer at Gotion Inc. will support and optimize manufacturing processes for lithium battery pack modules by managing automation, control systems, and equipment, ensuring process stability, quality, and efficiency in a state-of-the-art production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily manufacturing activities to ensure process stability, quality, and efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve manufacturing processes and equipment
- Establish control plans and in-process quality checks in partnership with Quality teams
- Lead equipment and line qualification during process ramp-up and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Apply problem-solving, root cause analysis, and statistical tools to address manufacturing challenges
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including Work Instructions and Operation Instructions, and train production staff
- Support automation and control systems integration, including PLC programming, HMI design, and Industry 4.0 solutions
- Partner with maintenance teams to ensure equipment uptime, troubleshoot electrical/control issues, and recommend improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering with a strong focus on control systems and automation.
- Hands-on experience with Cell assembly processes.
- Proficiency in PLC programming, preferably with Siemens 1500 PLCs.
- Experience in HMI development and SCADA systems.
- Knowledge of robotics, machine vision, and industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet IP, Modbus, and ProfiNet.
Benefits & Perks
U.S. base salary range of $80,000 to $120,000, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits
