Key Responsibilities
Manage the construction of the new EV battery manufacturing plant from start to finish
Develop and implement a construction plan to ensure timely, within-budget, high-quality project completion
Coordinate with stakeholders including subcontractors, suppliers, and government agencies
Oversee site preparation, foundation work, building construction, and installation of manufacturing equipment
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
Manage project budget and track expenses
Communicate project progress to senior management
Requirements
Manage the construction of a new brownfield EV battery manufacturing plant from start to finish in Kankakee County, Illinois, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Develop and implement a construction plan that ensures project completion within specified timelines and quality standards.
Coordinate with all stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, and government agencies, throughout the construction process.
Oversee all aspects of construction, including site preparation, foundation work, building construction, and installation of manufacturing machinery.
Ensure that all safety and environmental regulations are met during construction activities.
Manage the project budget and track expenses to stay within financial parameters.
Communicate regularly with the Chief Engineer and other senior management regarding the progress of the project.
Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, ideally native proficiency.
Have at least 10 years of experience in construction management, including a minimum of 5 years of experience on large, complex projects.
Experience working with brownfield or greenfield sites is preferred.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and implement project plans, track progress, and manage budgets.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
