Job Description
This role involves overseeing the commissioning, testing, and documentation of Gotion's energy storage systems at customer sites, providing training and support to clients, managing relationships with partners, and ensuring efficient project deployment and operation in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and document commissioning processes for Gotion Energy Storage Systems
- Oversee commissioning at customer sites, including cold and hot commissioning activities
- Train customer teams and engineers on commissioning and operational procedures
- Manage utility-scale EPCs and O&M relationships, providing product training
- Conduct commissioning and acceptance testing, including preparing checklists, plans, and reports
- Support project management by reviewing design, equipment selection, and ensuring efficient deployment
- Travel to client or project sites up to 50% and work in outdoor environments
- Develop technical documentation to support commissioning and O&M activities
Requirements
- Three or more years of hands-on experience in renewable energy project commissioning or performance testing.
- Strong understanding of SCADA communication protocols such as Modbus and DNP3, networking design and operation, energy management systems, battery management systems, and utility relay and metering equipment.
- Resourceful team player capable of collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams, including systems engineering, product management, and software development.
- Ability to coordinate and engage with external stakeholders, including clients, owner’s engineers, EPC contractors, independent engineers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Electrical Engineering experience is preferred.
- Willingness to travel to client or project sites up to 50% of the time.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments at project sites.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $90,000 - $130,000 USD
