Job Description
The role involves managing day-to-day aftermarket operations for EV batteries and energy storage systems, including remote service, spare parts planning, reverse logistics, warranty execution, and recycler coordination, with a focus on ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily aftermarket service operations including dispatch, remote diagnostics, and escalation management to ensure KPIs such as uptime, FTF, and MTTR are met.
- Build and maintain inventory planning systems like PFEP, SOP, and parts BOM accuracy, and manage 3PL performance and spares availability.
- Execute return-to-product (RTP) programs and manage hazardous shipment documentation and chain-of-custody procedures.
- Coordinate repair, remanufacturing, and recycling workflows with partners, collect yield data, and ensure EPR readiness.
- Oversee operational reporting, warranty claims, cost tracking, and lead continuous improvement initiatives with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in aftermarket after-sales service operations for EV battery, ESS, or automotive industries.
- At least 2 years of experience leading technicians, analysts, or vendor teams.
- Working knowledge of Li-ion pack basics and field diagnostics commissioning.
- Strong familiarity with PFEP SOP, 3PL scorecards, and CMMS CRM workflows.
- Hands-on experience with hazmat logistics including DOT, IATA, UN3480, UN3481, and RTP handling with solid documentation discipline.
- Proven safety compliance mindset with knowledge of EPA RCRA, Universal Waste, OSHA HV safety standards.
- Ability to own and drive KPIs such as FTF (First Time Fix), MTTR (Mean Time to Repair), parts fill rate, uptime, and service level agreements.
- Ability to travel up to 40% for sites, customers, and partners.
