Job Description
A Staff Software Engineer responsible for designing, building, and scaling the core payments platform and customer-facing payment products, ensuring security, reliability, and performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale the payments platform and customer-facing payment products
- Ensure payments systems are secure, reliable, and high-performing
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver seamless payment experiences
Requirements
- Experience as a Staff Software Engineer or similar senior engineering role with a focus on payments technology.
- Proficiency in designing, building, and scaling payments platforms and customer-facing payment products.
- Ability to ensure payment systems are secure, reliable, and performant.
- Experience collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver seamless payments experiences.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, including secure coding, performance optimization, and system reliability.
- Experience working with payment processing systems, APIs, and related technologies.
- Ability to contribute to the architecture and design of core payments technology components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in developing complex payment solutions.
- Experience with software development in a team environment, including code reviews and collaborative development processes.
- Knowledge of compliance standards related to payment systems and data security (e.g., PCI DSS) is preferred but not explicitly stated as mandatory.
