Job Description
The Senior Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing security measures across GoodLeap's systems, products, and processes to ensure organizational resilience, compliance, and protection of information assets, working closely with cross-functional teams to safeguard enterprise operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify potential misuse and abuse cases of enterprise systems and propose solutions.
- Manage security controls and activities during application development (build-time controls).
- Oversee security measures at runtime, including prevention, detection, and response.
- Design and build security patterns and practices for services and processes.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to ensure security and resilience of systems and services.
Requirements
- Experience in designing and building security patterns and practices for services and processes.
- Ability to identify potential misuse and abuse cases of enterprise systems and propose solutions to address these scenarios.
- Experience managing applications and product security controls during development (build-time controls).
- Experience overseeing security measures at runtime, including prevention, detection, and response (runtime controls).
- Ability to identify product features, configuration settings, and implement mitigating or compensating controls to meet resilience requirements.
- Experience managing security activities related to enterprise systems, including governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), security monitoring, and incident response.
- Strong collaboration skills to work closely with product, engineering, IT, and business teams within the organization.
- Ability to involve and coordinate with other security team members as needed.
- Experience working with internally built products and representing all areas of security within an organization.
- Excellent communication skills to foster strong relationships with product, business, and engineering teams.
- Willingness to take on multiple responsibilities, including advisory and implementation roles related to security.
- Knowledge of security controls and practices applicable during application development, deployment, and runtime environments.
- Understanding of enterprise systems security requirements and resilience strategies.
