Job Description

The Industrialization team is responsible to create, maintain, and execute the standard in how to develop and industrialize manufacturing processes using a team-based approach.

Key Responsibilities

Develop process quality and product quality techniques and implement across industrialization efforts
Utilize in-depth knowledge of technical disciplines, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policy/strategy and roadmap initiatives
Focal point for new product introductions, part and technology transfers, new process introductions, and strategic plant and equipment investments; inclusive of lead time, technology selection, tooling, fixturing, programming, quality plan, and run-off of initial production sets
Execute and own the qualifications of new products and processes enabling a successful hand-off to the production team
Monitor initial process capabilities and problem solve shortcomings from expectation
Manage project timelines to meet customer needs with a strong focus on safety, process capability, qualifications, and product quality
Mentor and coach less experienced engineers across the site
Engineering, standardizing, and optimizing manufacturing processes
Maintain and improve process documentation and facilitate best practice sharing across the site
Participate in early design reviews for manufacturability

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) from an accredited university or college or a High School Diploma / GED with at least 4 years of in industrial quality
Minimum of 6 additional years of experience in Production Process Control
This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment
Process quality and inspection technique background experience
Strong Statistical Process Control and Geometrical Dimensional and Tolerancing expertise
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to influence others and lead small teams
Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
Ability to coordinate and manage several projects simultaneously
Effective problem identification and solution skills
Proven analytical and organizational ability
Deep manufacturing technical expertise
Has comprehensive knowledge of underlying principles, approaches, and methodology
