Act as a recognised technical authority in HVDC control and protection solutions, providing support to senior leadership and consulting engineers
Approve designs, review execution plans, and support engineering teams in delivering robust, high-quality technical solutions
Support the development and maintenance of the HVDC Control & Protection Algorithms technology roadmap and identify areas for technical advancement
Drive internal and external standardisation activities, including representation in IEC, CIGRE, and similar professional bodies
Participate in patent evaluation and support the protection of innovation and intellectual property
Oversee R&D programmes from concept through industrialisation and promote collaboration across GE Vernova businesses
Support project tendering, delivery, quality reviews, and root cause analysis for major technical issues
Mentor engineering talent, reinforce good engineering practice, and support technical governance across the organisation
