Job Description
Product Definition Engineer contributes to the work group in order to meet assigned objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute PDE support or evaluation of assigned individual and team projects using engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements.
- Execute new definition for parts and assemblies (3D models, MBD, 2D drawings), 2D cross sections using NX & Catia functionality.
- Create new or update existing definition per Gas Power standards.
- Create or update Bill of Material structures.
- Implement and develop processes and procedures that assure the highest quality of provided deliverables and be consistent with engineering policies and standards.
- Participate as a presenter in technical reviews.
- Document and communicate results of technical data generated.
- Complete assigned tasks on time and on budget.
Requirements
- BSc in Engineering.
- Fundamental understanding of the mechanical engineering.
- Knowledge of standard manufacturing processes.
- Experience with commercial CAD package.
- GD&T & ASME Y14.5 & ISO understanding.
- Ability to work effectively with domestic (EIC) and worldwide (US, India, Mexico, etc) based engineers.
- Demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-growing and highly changing environments.
