Design & Analysis: Own & lead mechanical design and analysis (stress, modal, lifing) for Airfoils components in gas turbines, steam, generators, and accessory systems.
Technical Stewardship: Take ownership of mechanical hardware; perform validation testing; and evaluate designs for factors like thermal growth, manufacturing variation and assembly stack-up to ensure optimal product behavior. Additionally has an ability to manage and navigate through ambiguity in design inputs and challenges the design space for a better process and product.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrate System Level thinking while partnering with engineering experts, manufacturing, and sourcing teams to optimize sub-systems and components.
Continuous Improvement: Lead root cause analyses (RCA) to improve reliability, quality, and yield. Apply Lean principles and trends from field learnings to streamline processes and drive innovation.
Project Delivery: Owns milestones through formal/informal technical reviews, ensuring compliance with NPI processes and design practices.
Mentorship: Foster a collaborative environment by coaching team members and building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Principal and Chief Engineers.
