Job Description

A GE Vernova accelerator, GE Vernova Advanced Research is driving strategy and leading research & development efforts to execute on the business's mission to help power the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

Work on 3 technical assignments over 3 years in a variety of technical disciplines.
Grow your technical expertise in your chosen field and expand your skills in new areas.
Collaborate with diverse teams to develop innovative technologies for the energy industry.
Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical managers.
Participate in leadership development training that enhances professional skills and provides LEAN tools training, industrial knowledge and functional expertise.
Share technical accomplishments internally and externally through presentations, written reports, and IP disclosures.

Decarbonization — Carbon Capture, Hydrogen, Future Fuels, Hydro & Advanced Nuclear
Renewables — Next Gen Wind Technologies, Breakthrough Offshore Wind, Advanced Wind Modeling & Design, and Turbine Performance & Load Optimization
Electrification — Grid Digitization & Modernization, Advanced Distribution Networks, Hybrid/Energy Storage, and Energy Security

Requirements

Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry, or related STEM discipline.
Desire to begin an industry position rather than immediately pursue additional academic endeavors.
Demonstrated research experience in an internship or university thesis work encompassing critical thinking, scientific reasoning, data analytics and interpretation, and teamwork.
Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY.

Prior intern, co-op, or research experience.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $90,000 and $98,500 . The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
