Job Description

GE’s Power Conversion business, part of GE Vernova, provides electrification systems that are critical to customers’ power and energy needs for their high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities

As Finance Project Controller & Business Partner, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective, accurate, and compliant execution of finance activities across the OTR lifecycle. You will partner closely with operational stakeholders to improve financial visibility, strengthen performance management, and identify opportunities to drive efficiency and value.
You will bring together financial rigour, commercial insight, and strong stakeholder engagement to support project and contract success, while helping to embed best practice across processes and controls.
Finance Business Partnering
Lead and oversee the end-to-end O2R process including order validation, billing, collections.
Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and revenue recognition in line with accounting standards and company policies.
Manage CMR process compliantly with a view to maximising positive P&L impact.
Partner with business units to streamline O2R processes and resolve issues.
Support the implementation and enhancement of financial systems, automation tools, and reporting dashboards.
Ensure compliance with SOX/internal controls, audit requirements, and local regulations.
Support transformation initiatives related to O2R process efficiency and digital enablement.
Provide insights and reporting to senior finance leadership on Project performance, working capital, customer payment trends, and operational KPIs.

Requirements

Finance experience preferably within projects business
Part Qualified/Newly qualified ACCA/CIMA
Strong understanding of cost accounting, ERP systems.
Strong understanding of revenue recognition (IFRS 15 or ASC 606), billing systems, and AR controls.
Proficiency in Excel, financial modelling, and data analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau a plus).
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience in stakeholder management across commercial, legal, and operational teams
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
Strategic thinking with attention to operational detail
Results-oriented with a drive for continuous improvement
Ability to influence and support non-finance stakeholders
