Job Description Summary
Responsibilities include the operation of computer-based automatic inspection systems which provide barcoding, eddy current, and ultrasonic inspection of products, and the mechanical setup and operation of electro-mechanical equipment used to provide intermediate and final finish processing of products (for example, heat treatment, straightening, polishing, and cut-to-length).
Operators will function as team/area leaders at each operation, working with little or no supervision, and instructing/training new or lower-rated operators.
Operators are responsible for understanding and assuring the quality of product attributes generated at each operation which includes the segregation of nonconforming products through the evaluation of UT/EC or heat treat traces or per procedure instructions.
