Job Description

A Senior or Staff Fullstack Engineer at Gatik is responsible for developing and leading the design of scalable fleet management software, including real-time vehicle tracking, operational insights, and logistics automation, using technologies like React, Node.js, and TypeScript in a fast-paced autonomous vehicle environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and maintain end-to-end features for fleet management systems using React and Node.js.
  • Lead technical design and delivery of real-time vehicle telemetry, asset tracking, and dispatch operations.
  • Design, implement, and document APIs to support multi-tenant SaaS operations, real-time data flows, and integrations.
  • Own the full development lifecycle including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring of platform features.
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms such as SSO, OIDC, SAML, and RBAC.
  • Monitor and improve system performance, uptime, and telemetry data freshness for fleet operations.
  • Collaborate with product and UX teams to translate operational workflows into functional software.
  • Evolve the tech stack, CI/CD workflows, and tooling in coordination with infrastructure and DevOps teams.

Requirements

  • Six years of fullstack engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Deep expertise in React, Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript.
  • Proven experience designing and scaling SaaS platforms with an emphasis on real-time data, robust backend APIs, and system reliability.
  • Strong frontend skills in responsive UI design, state management, and component architecture.
  • Experience with microservices, REST and GraphQL APIs, and data modeling for operational and high-throughput systems.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern observability tools.
  • Experience with mapping and geospatial APIs such as Google Maps or Mapbox.
  • Familiarity with Azure, Postgres, Redis, and RabbitMQ.
  • Knowledge of enterprise authentication standards, including SSO, OIDC, and SAML.
  • Design and development of secure authentication and authorization flows, including SSO, OIDC, SAML, and role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring of core platform features throughout the full development lifecycle.
  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end features supporting real-time vehicle telemetry, asset tracking, and dispatch operations.
  • Design, implement, and document robust APIs to support multi-tenant SaaS operations, real-time data flows, and customer integrations.
  • Monitor and improve system performance, uptime, and telemetry freshness to ensure high reliability for critical fleet operations.

Benefits & Perks

Salary range of $150,000 to $220,000
