Job Description
A senior frontend engineer role focused on developing and maintaining a responsive, high-performance fleet management platform using React and TypeScript, enabling real-time visibility and control of autonomous vehicles in middle-mile logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using React and TypeScript.
- Build reusable UI components and design systems based on Figma designs.
- Optimize front-end performance, especially for map-based views and data-heavy dashboards.
- Collaborate with backend, platform, and infrastructure teams to ensure frontend reliability and scalability.
- Translate user needs into technical implementation plans in partnership with product managers and designers.
- Implement frontend test coverage using unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and product design sessions.
Requirements
- Six years of professional experience building web applications with React and TypeScript.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Deep understanding of state management, component-driven architecture, and modern frontend design patterns.
- Experience working with real-time data such as WebSockets and polling, and with interactive mapping libraries like Mapbox, Google Maps, or Leaflet.
- Familiarity with integrating APIs including REST and GraphQL and backend services.
- Strong instincts for UI/UX design and the ability to work closely with design and product teams to build intuitive interfaces.
- Comfortable working in CI/CD, Agile, and cross-functional environments.
- Experience with performance monitoring tools such as Sentry and Datadog.
- Ability to design, develop, and maintain responsive, performant web applications using React and TypeScript.
- Ability to build reusable UI components and design systems, translating Figma designs into production-ready Storybook components.
- Experience optimizing front-end performance across browsers and devices, with a focus on map-based views and data-heavy dashboards such as telemetry and analytics.
- Experience collaborating with backend, platform, and infrastructure teams to ensure frontend reliability, scalability, and observability.
- Participation in code reviews, architectural discussions, and product design sessions to improve quality and cross-functional alignment.
- Ownership and implementation of frontend test coverage using unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks such as Playwright and Cypress.
Benefits & Perks
Salary range of $140,000 to $200,000
