Job Description
This role involves operating box trucks in manual mode while overseeing autonomous driving systems, collaborating with engineering teams to test and improve self-driving technology, and ensuring safety and compliance on local routes.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate 26-30 ft box trucks in manual mode while supervising autonomous driving systems
- Test, evaluate, and refine autonomous vehicle technology in collaboration with engineering teams
- Monitor system performance using onboard screens, diagnostic tools, and software
- Conduct test runs, document unusual behavior, and provide actionable feedback
- Maintain safety and compliance with DOT and company safety guidelines
Requirements
- Operate 26-30 ft box trucks in manual mode while supervising onboard autonomous driving systems.
- Work closely with engineering teams to test, evaluate, and refine self-driving technology.
- Use onboard screens, diagnostic tools, and software to monitor system performance.
- Perform test runs, document unusual behavior, and provide clear, actionable feedback.
- Stay highly alert and safety-focused, stepping in as needed while following DOT and company safety guidelines.
- Have at least 3 years of experience driving 26-30 ft box trucks.
- Possess a valid CDL license.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
- Have flexible availability, including mandatory nights and weekend shifts.
