Supervisor, Field Engineering Design (Hybrid Schedule)

Role and Scope of Position:
Directs, coordinates, and supervises the daily activities of field engineering designers in assigning work, prioritizing assignments, addressing customer requests (new service/reliability) and creating detailed construction designs for large distribution construction projects, State highway relocation work, third party make ready and other special projects. Responsible for reviewing and approving work for internal/external customer requests, maintenance, annual and project work. Accountable for direct supervision, coaching, mentoring, safety leadership and technical guidance to assigned staff in support of producing high quality, timely and cost-effective solutions to technical and business objectives provide customers with safe, reliable, competitively priced and environmentally sound electric service. The supervisor is responsible for the design decisions of their team and will peer check their work as appropriate. Will participate on the project/budget review committee and meetings as required. Individual must have strong communication skills and a strong focus on customer satisfaction for both internal and external customers. Leads and/or participates in cross-functional teams that address tri state initiatives and technical process improvements.
Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance.
