Job Description
The role involves serving as a Technical Consultant focusing on RDBMS support, migration, troubleshooting, and optimization within ArcGIS Enterprise systems, with opportunities to grow into broader enterprise and GIS technology consulting.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a Technical Consultant for ArcGIS Enterprise systems focusing on RDBMS refactoring, analysis, and optimization.
- Perform enterprise and database migration, troubleshooting, system recovery, and disaster recovery exercises.
- Lead and collaborate on deploying enterprise and database upgrades, and system challenge resolutions.
- Apply knowledge of data tier technologies such as NoSQL, object stores, SAN, and NAS.
- Utilize server-side servicing models, authentication methods, and networking protocols to support system operations.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to customers, colleagues, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support and support RDBMS GIS systems through implementation, administration, and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in implementing and supporting RDBMS GIS systems.
- Experience in database administration.
- Fluency with SQL for analytical objectives, data transformation, and procedure function logic.
- Experience with troubleshooting technical issues with server systems.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to customers, executives, other technical staff, or non-technical staff.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related STEM field.
