Job Description
A Technical Consultant responsible for deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise GIS solutions in cloud environments like AWS and Azure, with a focus on automating operations, optimizing performance, and developing innovative cloud-based GIS offerings for diverse clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot ArcGIS Enterprise solutions in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
- Implement and validate solution changes to ensure minimal downtime and optimal operational efficiency.
- Work with cross-disciplinary teams to deploy cloud-based GIS solutions for various clients.
- Research and develop solutions using new cloud technologies to enhance existing deployments and create new offerings.
- Provide proactive support by recognizing and addressing uptime and performance issues.
- Engage with development, QA, and product teams to resolve technical cases and perform root cause analysis.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and administrating enterprise GIS solutions systems that leverage the ArcGIS platform desktop, enterprise, and online
- Proficiency with the Esri product line, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and related desktop extensions
- Excellent organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact directly with customers who do not have an IT background
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly
- US citizenship
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related STEM field
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment to deploy cloud solutions for a wide range of customers including commercial, utility, natural resources, federal, state, and local government
- Experience deploying, administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting ArcGIS Enterprise-based solutions in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure
- Experience implementing and validating solution changes, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency
- Ability to recognize and handle uptime and performance challenges proactively
- Ability to engage with development, QA, and product teams in bringing cases to resolution
- Ability to troubleshoot systems and provide root cause analysis
- Willingness to provide rotational 24/7 on-call technical support
