A Systems Engineer responsible for supporting and enhancing private cloud infrastructure, automating workflows, and implementing DevSecOps initiatives through scripting, automation tools, and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain private cloud infrastructure components using VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V
Analyze and improve operational workflows and processes
Build, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and operational tools
Automate infrastructure and workflows using scripting and infrastructure as code
Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot containerized microservices
Provide root cause analysis and resolve system issues
Respond to alerts and handle uptime and performance challenges
Perform rotational 24/7 on-call technical support
Requirements
At least 2 years of systems engineering experience.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting Windows or Linux environments.
Experience working in private on-prem cloud environments running VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V.
Ability to create, edit, and maintain scripting code from Bash, Powershell, Python, and Javascript for infrastructure configuration and building.
Experience with configuration management systems such as Ansible.
Understanding of build automation systems such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
Experience with infrastructure provisioning tools such as Terraform and Packer.
Ability to automate workflows via scripting for self-service.
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related STEM field.
Ability to work in the US without visa sponsorship (Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US).
