System Engineer – Enterprise Data Engineer (Mission-Focused)

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure database solutions to support mission-critical applications • Collaborate with cross-functional teams during all phases of implementation including requirements, analysis, design, build/configuration, and deployment • Configure and maintain database environments, including backup, restore, high-availability, and disaster recovery strategies • Monitor and tune database performance using industry-standard tools and methodologies (such as query optimization, indexing strategies) • Implement data security measures, access controls, and compliance standards across environments • Automate routine database loading, maintenance, and monitoring tasks to improve efficiency • Provide technical guidance and best practices for database design, migration, and integration projects

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in database design, administration, and optimization for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SAP HANA • Demonstrated experience with database design principles, data loading techniques, backup and recovery solutions, performance monitoring and tuning, database maintenance, and security • Scripting skills in SQL and Python for automation and data workflows • Experience with cloud-based database solutions (such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) • Understanding of geospatial concepts such as spatial data types, coordinate systems, and spatial indexing • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to technical peers and non-technical project managers or customers • US citizenship with Active or Current (within 2 years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, GIS, or related STEM field • Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise geodatabases • Knowledge of integrating GIS with other enterprise systems • CompTIA Security + certification • One or more industry-standard IT certifications (such as Esri, Microsoft, Amazon, PostgreSQL, Oracle) • Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, GIS or related STEM field #LI-SS2 #LI-Onsite

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $120,640 — $197,600 USD
