Job Description
The position involves implementing advanced ArcGIS deployments, troubleshooting technical issues, and optimizing performance for clients in the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. The role requires collaboration with end users to design and certify GIS workflows, and it demands extensive experience in enterprise ArcGIS systems and system administration.
Responsibilities
- •Deploy and configure ArcGIS across various environments and architectures
- •Plan and execute migration of content between ArcGIS deployments
- •Troubleshoot advanced ArcGIS deployments and provide guidance on platform components
- •Identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS platform
- •Collaborate with customers to align technical objectives with Esri's technology
Requirements
- •8 years of professional experience in a similar position supporting similar responsibilities.
- •Experience designing, implementing, and/or administrating enterprise ArcGIS or other comparable IT systems (desktop, server, and online).
- •Domain experience with Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) customers.
- •Broad system administration experience on Windows and/or Linux.
- •Working knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or C.
- •Familiarity with network concepts and topics, such as domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, and load-balancing.
- •Experience with at least one Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), including SQL query writing such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- •Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a STEM-related field.
- •Applicants selected will be subjected to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, which could include a Top Secret Clearance (TS), a Top Secret Clearance Compartmented Information Clearance (TS/SCI), a TS/SCI with Counterintelligence Scope (CI), and/or a Full Scope Lifestyle.
