Job Description

The role involves deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting advanced ArcGIS systems across various environments, supporting enterprise GIS solutions for Department of Defense and Intelligence Community clients, and collaborating with customers to optimize GIS workflows and architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and configure ArcGIS deployments across various environments to meet service level agreements
  • Plan and execute content migration between different ArcGIS architectures and deployment strategies
  • Troubleshoot advanced ArcGIS deployments, focusing on platform components such as storage, networking, and security
  • Collaborate with customers and partners to design, identify, and certify GIS workflows on the ArcGIS platform
  • Support and support enterprise ArcGIS or similar IT systems through design, implementation, and administration

Requirements

  • Eight (8) years of professional experience in a similar position supporting responsibilities such as implementing advanced ArcGIS deployments, analyzing and solving technical problems, and optimizing performance and organization.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and/or administrating enterprise ArcGIS or other comparable IT systems including desktop, server, and online platforms.
  • Domain experience with Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) customers.
  • Broad system administration experience on Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python, PowerShell, Javascript, or C.
  • Familiarity with network concepts and topics, including domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, and load-balancing.
  • Experience with at least one Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), including SQL query writing for systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability and willingness to maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a STEM-related field.
