Job Description
A project management role leading the implementation of GIS solutions for maritime clients, overseeing all project phases, managing teams, and driving business development to support maritime safety and navigation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of project implementation, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, build, configuration, and deployment.
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget to deliver solutions aligned with customer needs.
- Collaborate with consultants to ensure high-quality, timely project delivery.
- Engage with customers to understand their workflows and demonstrate the value of location-based solutions.
- Develop and grow business through proposal development and strategic customer engagement.
- Manage and lead a team of maritime experts, developers, and consultants to support business strategies and customer missions.
- Advise customers on innovative GIS solutions and recommend strategies for implementation and migration.
Requirements
- Eight (8) years of experience in a similar position supporting similar responsibilities, including supporting maritime customers and knowledge of maritime products and specifications such as S-57 and S-100.
- Professional experience leading and managing IT-based projects.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and translate customers' business goals, objectives, and strategies into technical plans and solutions.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, verbal communication, multi-tasking, and presentation skills.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to both technical peers and non-technical customers.
- Proposal writing experience, including preparing executive summaries, solution definition, scope of services, staffing, and pricing.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- US citizenship and willingness and ability to maintain a US Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, or a related field.
