Job Description
This role involves leading and managing complex GIS and maritime technology projects, supporting maritime clients with Esri solutions, and driving business development within the maritime sector. The position requires technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to deliver impactful geospatial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of project implementation including requirements analysis, design, build configuration, and deployment.
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget to deliver solutions aligned with customer objectives.
- Collaborate with consultants to deliver high-quality solutions within project timelines and budgets.
- Engage with customers to understand their workflows and develop proposals to meet their needs.
- Drive business development by defining project strategies and supporting proposal development.
- Manage and lead a team of maritime experts, developers, and consultants to support maritime clients and initiatives.
- Advise customers on innovative GIS solutions and strategies to improve decision-making and system migration.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities
- Professional experience leading and managing IT based projects
- Experience supporting maritime customers and knowledge of maritime products and specifications including S-57 and S-100
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and translate customer s business goals, objectives, and strategies into technical plans and solutions
- Exceptional interpersonal, written verbal communication, multi-tasking, and presentation skills
- Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas, whether to other technical peers or non-technical peers or customers
- Proposal writing experience, including preparing executive summaries, solution definition, scope of services, staffing, and pricing
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- US citizenship and willingness and ability to maintain a US Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, or a related field
