Job Description
A Product Manager role focused on ArcGIS Developer technology, responsible for engaging with the developer community, shaping product strategy, evangelizing capabilities, and collaborating across teams to enhance mapping applications and geospatial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, build, and grow the developer community around ArcGIS technology.
- Gather feedback from developers to influence product direction and prioritize needs.
- Evangelize the vision, capabilities, strategy, and roadmap of ArcGIS Developer technology.
- Assist developers in understanding how to leverage ArcGIS features to improve workflows.
- Stay updated on the latest developer technology trends and align product strategy accordingly.
- Write technical papers and contribute to marketing materials and social media content.
- Provide product expertise to key customers to address their business needs and support critical projects.
- Coordinate internal product launches with sales, support, and training teams.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, commercial application development, consulting, or product support.
- Experience with real-world software development projects involving relevant software stacks such as web development with JavaScript, native app development for Android, iOS, .NET, Qt, or back-end technologies including Python, Node.js, Go, Rust, and others.
- Ability to research customer problems and synthesize them into product requirements.
- Capability to effectively document and verbally communicate market requirements to the engineering team.
- Keen interest in customer experience and research to identify the right problems to solve with ArcGIS Developer technology.
- Self-motivated, organized, and team-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills at the technical level.
- Ability to travel 10-20% of the time to customer sites, conferences, trade shows, and other strategic meetings and events.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
