Job Description
The role involves managing the development and promotion of 3D web mapping applications using ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, engaging with the developer community, gathering requirements, and aligning product roadmaps to enhance geospatial visualization technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers and partners to gather requirements for 3D web development using JavaScript Maps SDK
- Align product roadmap with platform goals for data interoperability and user experience
- Collaborate on 3D Web GIS vision and requirements with product teams
- Conduct market research to identify product enhancement opportunities
- Present and evangelize SDK capabilities to the developer community through conferences, webinars, and blogging
- Establish feedback loops with developers for product improvements
- Contribute to planning by prioritizing the SDK roadmap
- Represent the SDK as a product expert at industry events and on social media
- Assist in product go-to-market strategies and marketing briefs
- Analyze potential partner relationships to inform product strategy
Requirements
- Five years of product management experience, preferably in geospatial or mapping technology.
- Proficiency in web development technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with 3D technology for visualization, GIS, or infrastructure planning.
- Skilled in presenting and building strategic relationships with customers and partners.
- Effective communication of market requirements to technical staff.
- Excellent interpersonal, writing, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical skills for data, market trends, and user feedback analysis.
- Ability to travel 10-20% of the time to customer sites, conferences, trade shows, and other strategic meetings and events.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, GIS, engineering, or a related field.
