Job Description
The role involves developing and implementing GIS data management solutions within Esri’s software products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance data handling capabilities, ensuring quality assurance, and supporting customer needs related to spatial data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product management and user communities to translate requirements into development objectives
- Build, test, and release ArcGIS data management functionalities related to enterprise geodatabases and services
- Plan, design, ensure quality, certify, and release data management software features
- Create documentation to communicate complex technology to users
- Coordinate with stakeholders to communicate plans and project status
- Identify opportunities to integrate new technologies into existing software
- Drive the development process, including release planning, iteration planning, and reviews
- Assess product quality and readiness for release
Requirements
- 5 years of experience designing, developing, and or implementing solutions using ArcGIS software
- Experience using an application development language, such as C , Java, C , or Python
- Strong DBMS expertise in a commercial RDBMS
- Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, computer science, engineering, or related fields
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at the technical and management level
- Excellent problem-solving and creative thinking skills
- A self-motivated team player with an interest in continuous learning and the ability to guide staff towards excellence
